Blog Design
I love Wordpress. Truly, I do. But some of the blogs I've seen look like a dog's breakfast. It makes me shudder. In pain. For the owner.
Wordpress is an awesome platform. If you're using it, you already know that.
But, "out of the box" is seldom the best way to use anything... especially if it speaks of your credibility and professionalism.
Usually, your website and/or blog is the first thing a stranger will judge you by.
According to Consumer Web Watch, over 74% of your visitors judge credibility by design.
I don't just mean visually ugly, though it's that, too.
You've probably seen blogs that look like the dog's breakfast.
Sometimes, the code is pretty ugly, too.
Often, it's not even people-friendly much less search engine friendly or link friendly.
I don't fault the people that created Wordpress or even the people creating php/css themes.
Frankly, I'd rather poke my eye out with a stick than do what they do.
I do what I do. I make blogs look better and work better. So they're visually appealing and search engine friendly. So they work harder to
make you look good. Know why?
Because, on the Internet, you don't get a second chance to make a good first impression
